Privilege

It’s become one of my favorite places. For the past five years, I have been a part of the teaching staff at Holden Village, a retreat center tucked into a remote valley in the Washington Cascades. Nairobi, Kenya

Two years ago, George Floyd was killed by police in Minneapolis. I’ve been carrying two colors of tape for years, to mark the place where people should stand for their photos…and just now figured out I could do this with it. A few of the stories from our weekend with Minnesota Master Naturalists… I love this part. #storytelling #eventproduction #apeaceofmymind One last run through before sharing stories back to MInnesota Master Naturalists today. A Peace of My Mind’s work has always offered a “come as you are” invitation. A little new branding for the studio setup. “That’s what being a good steward of the earth is all about. Believe that your actions, combined with the actions of millions of people on this planet who are trying to do the right thing in spite of the forces and the headwinds that they face…that it will help.” Heading back toward the Midwest for some programming, and after so many weeks in the southwest, the green…especially the springtime green…looks downright luxurious.
