our anniversary

Last Tuesday night we filled the house (Squirrel Haus) to celebrate A Peace of My Mind’s 10th anniversary.

I was touched to see so many people in the room who have helped to nudge this project along through the years. People who have shared their stories, designed our exhibits, edited the books, helped fund our Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns, hosted programming, brainstormed ideas and kept me awake with phone calls during cross-country drives.

It was a night to celebrate and to dream. To share our victories and challenges. To state our plans for the future and at the same time acknowledge that this thing now has a life of its own and I am just trying to keep up.

There’s a lot to celebrate about what A Peace of My Mind has become, but here’s my big takeaway from the night…

We’re just getting started.

Many thanks to Randy Hoepner for the great photos from the night. To Neal Hagberg for adding his soulful music. And to Barbara Nordstrom-Loeb for joining me onstage for a bit.

Thanks to everyone who showed up in person or in spirit. Your encouragement is contagious and I’m excited to see what the next ten years have in store.
